Dreams I: Creatures
I had a dream a few months ago and it was as real and impactful as a waking experience. Most of my dreams are incredibly animated, colorful, filled with sound, fast movements. I read and write in my dreams, count. The mind does not seem to rest but clicks into another mode with full spectrum experiences. I’ve been this way since I was a little girl but in my adult years the dreams and their themes have taken on a deeper tone.
This particular dream followed me around for weeks begging to be recreated. So, I embarked on the journey using photography and graphic design. This will be the first of a series. Many other dreams have been coming through waiting their turn, to be given birth sort of speak. If I’ve learned anything, it’s that if there is something stirring inside of you, if your passion is ignited in the senses, if a restlessness brews, do not question it, do not project your fears, anxieties, old beliefs that hold you back…instead go towards these emotions and give them a voice, a visual platform, auditory…whatever you see. You are a conscious instrument for the creative spirit that ties us all on this plane of existence. Be grateful. On the other side of your blocks is the next version of yourself but you have to do the work to get there. You have to release.

In this dream I was sitting in front of a cosmic creature, that was another version of myself. Bright green light shot out from the creatures eyes, mouth, and chest. The light was projected onto my other version (left). No fear existed, just receiving. In a vast space, there was light and sound. One deep tone. One bright light. – I realized that the green represented the heart chakra. Anahata. It represents love for oneself and others, compassion, forgiveness, acceptance, transformation, change, ability to grieve and reach piece, integration of insights. Appreciation and connection to beauty. – In my waking life I was going through a lot of personal changes that found its crescendo in my heart center. The heart center that for years ached with physical manifestations of pain that I carried from the past. I worked and focused on a lot of personal healing for many years and strong rebuilding on new beliefs and timeless principles of existence. I was realigning my spirit with nature, love, honor, beauty, giving a path to my higher self to grow through. My dream represented that transformation. Now, I release this piece into the waking world.
Hope you enjoy.
